The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed with regard to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on SRD the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is sassa status mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a high influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
